Quality signals connected from line to release

Inspection data, exception queues, and release status now move as one operating picture so quality teams act before a defect becomes a shipment.

The challenge

Inspection results, line notes, and finished-goods release lived in separate tools. By the time a pattern was visible, material had already moved, and containment meant hunting lots instead of stopping the cause.

How we worked

Palmarius connected the quality events that already existed—inline checks, lab results, and hold codes—into a single signal path, then designed the exception queue around how supervisors actually release work.

What we delivered

A quality operations layer now collects inspection outcomes, flags recurring defects, and keeps release status in the same view as the line. Teams see which lots are clear, which are held, and which checks keep failing, without exporting another workbook.

We were good at inspecting and slow at connecting. Palmarius put the check, the hold, and the release in one place, so a quality signal is something we can act on during the shift—not a report we read the next morning.Elena Voss, Plant quality manager
